As the title implies, these are two short and relatively easy pieces, each a Gregorian paraphrase of about three minutes duration. The first is based on Ave Maris Stella and the second on two versions of the Salve Regina. The pieces were written in honor of my friend Philippe Lefèbvre, organist titulaire at Notre-Dame de Paris. We have been friends since 1973.
